What if I renewed my licence just before this was announced?
Don’t worry, you won’t miss out on the discount. As you are able to apply to renew your licence up to one month before it expires, the discount will be applied when you next renew your licence.
Please note: there are a select few whose licences expire in July who renewed their licence between June 1 and June 4. These people will be contacted by the MotorSport New Zealand office.
How do I receive the discount?
Discounts have already been loaded into MotorSport Online are automatically applied to licence and authority card renewals. Discounts to permit fees and participation levies are also automatically discounted to the organising club. The invoice generated by our system will show the DISCOUNTED rate rather than the full rate with a discount breakdown.

Will clubs receive a credit for events held between May 20 and June 4?
Yes, clubs who held events since the release of our Back in Motion plan and the announcement of the support package will be eligible for a credit on those events.
Does this mean my entry fees should be cheaper?
All organising clubs must pass on the savings in participation levies to its competitors. This should be reflected in your entry fees.
Can I renew my authority card even if I haven’t competed in two events in the last 12-months?
Yes, MotorSport New Zealand has negotiated with LVVTA to relax the authority card renewal criteria for 12-months to take into account the fewer events available due to Covid-19 restrictions.
