Car 323 recorded an average of Inlet Valve 9.16mm and Exhaust Valve 9.1175mm. The technical Officers report that the measurement can only be achieved during assembly and that t is their belief that the breach is not a deliberate attempt by the driver. The car and engine are lease by James Webb and he claims not to have made any changes to the engine since taking possession only days before the meeting. The engine was not sealed and was only checked after Race 14 (the third Formula Ford race) by the Technical Department. The breach is deemed performance enchancing by the Technical Department. As a result of a hearing the Clerk of the Course finds that there has been a breach of the Technical Regulations and that it is quite possible the driver was unaware of this at the time of using the vehicle in the event. However NSC 36 M (i) leaves all responsibility with the driver in this case
The Clerk of the Course rules that Appendix 1 Schedule P Art A2.A2 applies- That James Webb be fined a sum of $150. Be excluded from the results of Race 14 (the third Formula Ford race) and thave his licence endosed for a period of 5 months ending at 5pm Sunday 17th April 2016
