The Race Director finds that after race 7 you car underwent post-race technical inspections. The Championship Scrutineer provided a report to the race director that stated your car did not comply with the 2017/18 Schedule TL Part C 11.12(2) Carburettor insulating plate. The Technical Department have deemed this a performance affecting part. The thickness of your insulating place and gaskets found to be a minimum of 8.34mm, Article 2017/18 11.12(2) states that a total thickness of insulating plates and gaskets shall not exceed 8mm.. During the hearing it was explained that the part was bought off the shop shelf and installed in the car. It was also stated that the team did not measure the part and that it was a genuine error.
The Race Director rules that regardless of the error the part still breaches 2017/18 Schedule TL Part C 11.12(2). Schedule CH 40.8 applies. Fined $600. Exclusion from your race 1 (race 7 in the programme). Competition Licence is endorsed until 28th Feb 2018.
