ARTICLE 2
CHALLENGE STRUCTURE
2.1 Structure – Challenge Qualifying Series:
(1) There shall be two Challenge Qualifying Series, consisting of three specified
rounds in each of the North and South Islands, which shall be known as North
Island Rally Xtreme Challenge Series and the South Island Rally Xtreme
Challenge Series.
(2) Points will be awarded to registered competitors at all qualifying rounds of the
applicable island Rally Xtreme Series.
(3) To win the North or South Island Rally Xtreme Series, the drivers with the
highest overall points in each class (4WD and 2WD) will be adjudged the
winners in the applicable island series.
(4) All points earned at each round of the applicable Island Rally Xtreme Series
will be retained throughout the Challenge Qualifying Series competitions,
even if the driver who was originally awarded the points subsequently
becomes ineligible to win the Challenge Qualifying Series for whatever
reason.
2.2 Structure – MotorSport NZ Rally Xtreme Challenge:
(1) The 2008 MotorSport NZ Rally Xtreme Challenge will be decided over two
specified finals rounds, one in each island.
(2) The 2008 MotorSport Rally Xtreme Challenge finalists will be the top ten place
getters in each class from both Challenge Qualifying Series.
(3) Points will be awarded at both rounds of the finals rounds of the Rally Xtreme Challenge. Eligible competitors in each class will be ranked based on their
aggregate points from the two finals rounds. The winners will be the drivers
with the highest aggregate points in each Class.
2.3 Qualifying Rounds:
The Rally Xtreme Challenge Qualifying Series events are;

2.5 (1) For the purposes of Rally Xtreme, each round will consist of one day’s
competition only.
(2) MotorSport NZ reserves the right to either cancel or amend any rounds for the
Challenge due to “force majeure” without affecting in any way its power to
award any title.
