“Gentleman Jim’ Richards proved a hit on and off the track on the opening day of the Legends of Bathurst festival at Hampton Downs.
The seven-time winner of the Bathurst 1000 finished 3rd in the Archibalds Historic Touring Car category and met hundreds of the large crowd that turned up to meet some of the greats of Australian and New Zealand motorsport.

Timperley Eyeing Top Rookie in BNT V8s
As round two of the BNT V8s gets underway at Ruapuna this weekend, class two rookie Brock Timperley has his eye on not only another race win but also focussing on rookie of the year.
In the championship standings, Timperley is placed fifth just four points behind fellow rookie Justin Ashwell. Timperley saying that grabbing rookie of the year is high on his achievement list.

Australian driver Jack Smith could be set to become a contender as round three of the BNT V8’s gets underway at Ruapuna this weekend.
With tricky and wet conditions conditions greeting competitors and Smith on his debut at round one at Pukekohe, the 2017 Kumho V8 Touring Car Champion came to grips with his new car and new championship at Taupo’s round two in December.
